You can design your own dithering patterns in a dedicated interface in the app. In the editor, you can build patterns using up to 10 levels - and each level gets mapped on your image based on the density of the pattern. When you create a custom pattern, you can see the result on your image in real time, and all patterns you create will be saved in the app as well, so you can reuse them on future images.

This means you can carry it on a USB drive and run it from any folder on your computer. Your settings and custom palettes and presets are saved in your system's standard user data location (AppData on Windows, Library on macOS), so they're preserved between sessions and accessible regardless of where you run the app from.

The app supports JPEG, PNG (transparency support), GIF (no animation support though), BMP, and WebP formats.

The app can accept image files up to 15,000×15,000px and 100MB in file size, but images larger than 2000px in width are automatically downscaled to 2000px width (maintaining aspect ratio) to preserve performance. If your image width is less than 2000px, its original dimensions will be preserved. After processing, you can upscale your dithered images up to 2000% for export without losing pixel definition.
